We need your voice for a greener Huntly for everyone

The simplest way to get involved with Greener Huntly doesn't require turning up anywhere or signing up for anything complicated. You just need WhatsApp.

Our community is organised into a series of channels, each focused on a different aspect of what we do: from informal chat to events and sessions, skills and resource sharing to biodiversity sightings. You can follow the channels that interest you and mute the ones that don't. It's designed to fit around busy lives.

The community is open to everyone — residents, local businesses, growers, dog walkers, anyone who has an interest in the green spaces, the wildlife, and the future of Huntly. You don't need to know anything about ecology or gardening to be a valuable member of it. Sometimes the most useful contribution is a question no one has thought to ask, or a photo of something odd in the park that turns out to be quite significant.

Beyond the chat, the community is also where we share updates on what we're working on, put out calls for volunteers, and occasionally ask for feedback that shapes the direction of our projects. Members have voted on priorities, suggested ideas that became real projects, and flagged problems that we've been able to act on. That feedback loop is important to us.

If you'd rather listen than talk, that's absolutely fine too. There's no obligation to post.

To join, head to our website and click through to the WhatsApp community. Everyone is welcome, and the more people who are part of it, the richer the conversation becomes.
