This spring, One Seed Forward is launching something we're really excited about: a seed bank and seed hub program, bringing free seeds to our community so that more of us can grow our own veg. Seeds will be available to pick up from local seed banks across Live Life Aberdeenshire libraries — locations coming very soon! — and we want to make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

 

In particular if you have never grown anything before, or if you are convinced you don't have a green thumb - we are here to get you started.

 

What is this group for?

As seeds become available throughout the season, we'll be publishing growing guides here on the blog. Practical, straightforward advice for each variety you can find at your local seed hub. We'll introduce you to growing with simple small scale projects. Think of it as a living, growing resource that builds as the season does. You can choose to browse our blog, or stay up to date, receiving notification, by joining our group.

We want this to be a two-way conversation. If you have a question about something you're growing — or something that's gone a bit wrong — leave a comment at the bottom of the relevant post and we'll do our best to help. We check in and answer questions every Wednesday, so you won't be waiting long.
